Nora Ericson is an award-winning author of books for kids. She grew up in central New York and studied painting at Yale University before heading west and taking up writing. After working her way up the left coast, she now makes her home in Portland, Oregon with two kids, two dogs and two cats.

Besides reading and writing, she loves cooking, camping, and whittling spoons while dreaming of her future miniature donkey farm. A graduate of Vermont College of Fine Arts (Writing for Children and Young Adults),

Nora is the author of Dill & Bizzy: An Odd Duck and a Strange Bird and Dill & Bizzy: Opposite Day, both published by HarperCollins, and the recent release, Too Early, published by Abrams. Too Early, illustrated by Elly MacKay, received four starred reviews, is an Amazon Editor’s Pick and Best Book of the Month, and has received many honors including being named an ALA Notable, a Bank Street College Best Book of the Year and the 2023 Margaret Wise Brown Prize Honor Book, given specifically for a picture book text. Too Early won the 2024 Oregon Book Award and was also reviewed in the NYTimes.
